When we lived in Rhode Island, one of our favorite restaurant dishes was Steak alla Mama, a pan-seared sirloin steak finished with garlic butter and hot pickled peppers. This version brings back those flavors in an easy skillet entrée that's ready in 30 minutes. Pan-Seared Sirloin with Sautéed Banana PeppersGarlic butter and steak are a natural pairing, but pickled banana peppers are what make this version a little different. Their mild tartness balances the rich butter sauce, and an optional pinch of red pepper flakes lets you add as much, or as little, heat as you like.

Salmon pairs well with fresh, flavorful toppings, and this combination of sweet orange, ripe tomatoes, scallions, cilantro, and jalapeño gives it just the right contrast. Roasted Salmon with Orange and Tomato Salsa The salsa gets a short rest before serving so the orange, tomatoes, and seasonings have time to come together. Draining off the excess juice afterward keeps all that fresh flavor where you want it - on the salmon. GET THE RECIPE More Salmon Recipes For more salmon dinners with...
